Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB’s lead community diabetes specialist nurse has been awarded a British Empire Medal in the 2022 New Year Honours.

Dr Jonathan Arthur, Head of Audiology is now eligible to enter the Higher Specialist Scientist Register (HSSR) at the Academy of Healthcare Science. He is just one of three people in the UK who are able to join the HSSR, and likely to be the first clinical scientist  (audiology) in Wales that has progressed through this route to Consultant Clinical Scientist.

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) celebrated Welsh Language Rights Day on Tuesday December 7, 2021 by further promoting the Welsh language courses across its workforce.

From today, we are pleased to be able to make some changes to visiting in maternity services. One-hour daily visiting slots will be made available to a single birth partner of women on our post-natal wards.

On World Menopause Day (October 18), Cwm Taf Morgannwg (CTM) University Health Board is delighted to be launching a new Menopause support service for staff, to have a better understanding of menopause and how it affects relationships and families. This service is open to both men and women.

This week across CTM we are marking Advanced Practitioners Week by celebrating the role of Advanced Practitioner in our Health Board.

Advanced clinical practitioners (ACPs) are healthcare professionals, educated to Master’s level, with the skills and knowledge to allow them to expand their scope of practice to meet the needs of the people they care for.
