COVID cluster in Merthyr Tydfil

Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB and Merthyr Tydfil CBC will not open a vaccination centre in Aberfan

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council have made the joint decision not to open a community vaccination centre (CVC) in Aberfan.  It was due to open in Aberfan community centre at the end of this month.

Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB is deeply saddened to announce the death of our colleague Mark David Simons, who died of COVID at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital last week

Mark, 59, worked for the Health Board as a Health Care Support Worker at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital. He leaves behind two sons, Liam and Calum, and his mother Audrey Simons.
