Llantrisant and Merthyr Tydfil community vaccination centres close temporarily due to local elections

Two of the Health Boards community vaccination centres (CVCs) will close this Thursday and Friday (May 5 and 6) due to the local elections.

Llantrisant CVC, based at Llantrisant Leisure Centre and Merthyr Tydfil CVC, based at Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Centre are both being used for the election counts.

It means the last chance to walk-in for a vaccine will be this Wednesday (May 4).  Both centres will close at 4:30pm on Wednesday and reopen as normal on Monday (May 9).

Our Bridgend CVC is not impacted and will be open on the Thursday and Friday.

However, all three CVCs will be closed this weekend (Saturday May 7 and Sunday May 8), and all return to normal on Monday.

While the centres are closed, our mobile vaccination teams will be out in the community delivering the spring booster to our housebound patients and older adult residents in care homes.
