If you are currently waiting for surgery or treatment, preparing effectively can make a significant difference to your experience of treatment and your recovery. This video from The Royal College of Anaesthetists provides some helpful advice: Preparing for surgery: Fitter Better Sooner 2022

Your planned treatment can be a challenge for you and your body. Making a small number of changes can make a big difference to the way you respond and recover from your treatment. The areas to consider to keep you well whilst you wait are: healthy eating, stopping smoking, your physical activity levels, awareness of alcohol and drug use, your mental wellbeing and coping with worry.
