All invitations for this Lung Health Check pilot programme have now been sent. If you have not received an invitation, unfortunately we will not be able to offer you a Lung Health Check.
If you are eligible, you will have received an invitation through the post. Lung health checks are different to other NHS health checks. Even if you have recently been for a different health check, you should still consider having your lung health check.
People who are eligible have been invited from selected surgeries in the North Rhondda area - St Davids Street Surgery, Llwynypia Surgery and Forest View Medical Centre.
Unfortunately we are not able to offer lung health checks to people registered at other surgeries at present. There are still things you can do to keep your Lungs healthy, and information about what symptoms to look out for.
This lung health check programme is an “operational pilot”. This means that the service will be offered to people registered at a small number of GP practices for a fixed period of time. As well as helping the people who have a lung health check now, we will be learning about how best to deliver lung health checks in Wales in the future.
