Vascular Rehabilitation is a dedicated service to help those diagnosed with Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) and Intermittent Claudication. We aim to help you understand your condition and how to manage it. The Service is designed to support you by offering education, expert physical assessment and supporting you to identify the areas of your health you wish to improve. The support you receive will be catered to your goals and personal preferences.
If you have had a diagnosis of PAD, the Vascular Team will discuss your management options with you. One of these options is referral to the Physiotherapy Vascular Rehabilitation service. A specialist Physiotherapist will provide you with an expert assessment, and you will be supported with advice regarding Physical Activity. We will help you understand the role Physical activity has in managing your PAD, and help you understand the things you can do in the long-term management of your PAD.
