pointing finger

The team covers the CTM  UHB network.  The main roles of the SPOA team include consultation providing advise to referrers regarding concerns they may have for a patient or any queries they may have about making a referral. The team also triages and screens referrals and duty calls on a daily basis, answering duty calls from referrers or families on a daily basis, signposting and providing safety plan advise if needed.

Referrals

All referrals into CAMHS need to be made via a Healthcare Professional. This includes GP’s, Social Workers, Paediatricians or Allied Health Professionals. CAMHS also accept referrals for further screening from Educational Psychology.

All professionals working with a young person are able to contact the CAMHS Single Point of Access service for a consultation prior to submitting a referral, either via the Welsh Clinical Portal or by post.

The Single Point of Access team are available to discuss concerns and provide advice and support for families and young people. All calls are prioritised and returned within 48 hours.
