Cwm Taf Morgannwg patients and clinicians positive about video consultations

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board’s health professionals have conducted over 17,500 video consultations (VCs) with patients over the past 11 months and, according to new research, both patients and clinicians are very positive about the service.

Glyncornel Nursing Home celebrates success with the Specialist Palliative Care Team in CTMUHB

Glyncornel Nursing Home in Tonypandy have successfully completed the Six Steps to Success education programme supporting Palliative and End of Life Care supported by the Specialist Palliative Care Team in CTMUHB who piloted the programme as part of the Bevan Commissions Adopt and Spread Programme.

The Minor Injuries Unit at Ysbyty Cwm Cynon will be temporarily closed from today (September 8th) until further notice.

If you have a minor injury that needs urgent treatment and you would normally go to Ysbyty Cwm Cynon, you should instead go to the A&E department at your nearest hospital – for most people, this will be Prince Charles Hospital.

New Health Board Chair Appointed

Today (Tuesday September 21, 2021) the Minister for Health and Social Services, Eluned Morgan, announced that Emrys Elias will take up the position of Chair at Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB for 18 months, from October 01, 2021 when current Chair, Professor Marcus Longley, completes his four year term in post.

Two year anniversary of Y Bwthyn NGS Macmillan Specialist Palliative Care

More than 1,200 people have been cared for at a state-of-the-art palliative care unit largely funded by charities since it opened its doors two years ago.

The milestone has been revealed to mark two years since the eight-bed Y Bwthyn NGS Macmillan Specialist Palliative Care Unit opened its doors at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.

CTM Health Visitor recognised for outstanding work
