Clinical Practice Educator – Primary Care

The Clinical Practice Educator service provides continuing professional development opportunities for practice nurses which includes the provision of a core foundation programme.

We also encompass the training and education of health care support workers working within general practice.

The service is led by two registered nurses.

Who is it for?

This service is for current and potential practice nurses including heath care support workers working within GP practices across the Cwm Taf area.

Can anyone use this service?

This service is tailored towards meeting the continuing professional development needs and training and education needs of both practice nurses and health care support workers working within general practice.

Monday to Friday 9:00am -5:00pm

What to expect

This service will contribute to the required knowledge base and skill set which staff need to develop and maintain so that they are able to manage the health care needs of patients.

The team provides education and training across a range of subject matters including: diabetes, respiratory conditions, immunisation and vaccinations, physiological measurements, and wound care to name but a few.
