There may be times when you are asked to briefly step out of the ward to help maintain the privacy and comfort of the patient you are visiting or other patients while care is being provided.
Please allow staff to complete medication rounds without interruption, as this helps minimise the risk of errors.
To ensure medical staff can carry out their duties without disruption, we ask that you allow them to focus on their work. If you require an update or wish to arrange an appointment, please speak with a member of the nursing team, who will be happy to assist you.
Whenever possible, please designate a single family member or friend as the main point of contact for communication with our staff. This helps minimise duplication and ensure consistent updates. Please be aware that information can only be shared with the patient’s consent.
If you are unable to visit your but want to send messages or arrange video calls, please discuss with a member of staff.
