Drug and Alcohol Services

What we do

The Community Drug and Alcohol Team provides a service for people experiencing problems with substance misuse.

We offer an accessible specialist service, based upon a harm reduction approach which includes working towards abstinence where appropriate; providing care programmes that are developed individually with each client.

Who is it for?

The service is for individuals with significant drug and/or alcohol misuse, where there is a related risk to themselves or others and there is evidence of a commitment to actively engage in the treatment programme and comply with required standard of conduct.

Can anyone use this service?

Access to the service is through the single point of access which is managed by the Drug and Alcohol Single Point of Access (DASPA). 

DASPA is the first and single point of contact for people looking for support or advice regarding drug and alcohol misuse across Cwm Taf Morgannwg and is a collaboration between the voluntary, social and health sectors.
