Seren Annual Awards 2026 Banner

The extraordinary dedication, compassion and commitment of staff and volunteers across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTM UHB) are celebrated through the Seren Annual Awards, with members of the public playing a key role in recognising those who make a real difference.

This year, over 200 nominations were received across the 2026 awards programme, with the People's Choice Award and Volunteer of the Year Award offering patients, families and community members the opportunity to celebrate individuals and teams who have had a meaningful impact on their lives.

The awards are proudly supported by our CTM NHS Charity, which helps make it possible to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions of the people who care for and support our communities.

People's Choice Award

The People's Choice Award recognises an individual or team who has made a significant impact on patient experience, whether for an individual patient, within a service area, or across the Health Board. This category is unique because it gives members of the public a direct voice in recognising exceptional care and support.

Nominations were reviewed by a judging panel comprising:

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to submit a nomination and congratulate all those recognised.”

Volunteer of the Year Award

Following the judging process, the panel shared:

"Even knowing how great our staff are, it is always humbling to understand the degree to which many of them take time from their personal lives, and at times in the face of significant personal challenges, to take care of the wellbeing of others.

We were impressed by the range of voluntary activities being undertaken and were pleased to see a spotlight shone on contributions that may otherwise have gone unnoticed and unthanked."
