CTM NHS Charity launches refreshed look to show how local support makes a difference

Our CTM NHS Charity has launched a refreshed identity to help more people understand how local support helps make things better for patients, families and NHS staff across Cwm Taf Morgannwg.

Every pound donated stays local, supporting practical improvements across Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil that can make a real difference when it matters most.

This could be through creating welcoming spaces, buying extra equipment, supporting staff wellbeing, or providing support that helps people feel calmer and more comfortable in hospital.

The refreshed identity was developed with support from Welsh creative agency jamjar, who worked with the Charity to create a warmer, clearer and more recognisable visual identity.

The work has been shaped through conversations with CTM UHB staff, Charity supporters, fundraisers, and community members. Their views have helped inform how the Charity talks about itself, the difference it makes, and the role local support plays across Cwm Taf Morgannwg.

At the heart of the refreshed identity is the simple idea:

Together, we make good things happen.

This reflects the many ways charitable support can help make hard days a little easier for patients, families and NHS staff. From calmer spaces for children attending hospital, to creative arts programmes, improved staff wellbeing areas and patient-led improvements to hospital environments, CTM NHS Charity helps fund the extra things that go over and above core NHS funding.

The new logo draws on the butterfly as a symbol of transformation and positive change, and the heart as a symbol of compassion and care. Together, these ideas represent how small acts of kindness and support can lead to meaningful, lasting change.

Abe Sampson, Head of Charity for CTM UHB, said:

“CTM NHS Charity has always existed to support patients, families and NHS staff across our local communities. This refreshed identity helps us tell that story more clearly.

“We want more people to understand that every donation stays local and helps fund practical improvements that can make a real difference. Whether someone makes a donation, fundraises, or supports an appeal, they are helping make good things happen across Cwm Taf Morgannwg.”

As part of the launch, the Charity has updated its website pages to make it easier for people to learn more about the difference charitable support is making and how they can get involved.
