Celebrating Sandra Davies: Awarded Prestigious ARTP Honorary Fellowship

Sandra Davies Sandra Davies, Clinical Scientist in Respiratory and Sleep Physiology, has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship from the Association for Respiratory Technology and Physiology (ARTP) in April 2026. This award is one of the highest honours in the profession, recognising individuals who have made a lasting and exceptional impact.

Sandra said: “I am sincerely honoured to receive this ARTP award; it’s deeply meaningful to have such an accolade from our professional body. ARTP has undoubtedly shaped my career journey, and I hope to continue contributing for a few more years to come.”

Sandra plays a key role in patient care across Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB, leading specialist sleep services at two hospitals. She supports patients with sleep conditions, helping to improve both their health and quality of life.

Alongside her clinical work, Sandra has made an important contribution at a national level. She has helped shape healthcare services in Wales by advising Welsh Government and contributing to national professional groups. She is also passionate about developing the next generation of healthcare scientists, supporting education and training through her work with universities and national programmes.

This latest achievement builds on her previous recognition as ARTP Healthcare Scientist of the Year in 2021, further highlighting her commitment, expertise, and positive impact on patients and services.

Sandra’s Honorary Fellowship reflects a career defined by dedication, leadership, and a passion for improving care for people with respiratory and sleep conditions.
