Early Interventions in Psychosis Service

What we do

Our aim is to seek, identify and reduce treatment delays at the onset of psychosis. We promote recovery by reducing the probability of relapse following a first episode of psychosis.

Can anyone use this service?

We support people between the ages of 14-35 who have experienced symptoms of psychosis within the last 3 years, and where a decline in level of functioning has coincided with onset of symptoms.

What to expect

The service is made up of a team of community-based mental health professionals who work with individuals and their families to understand personal experience, support improvements in symptom reduction, emotional well-being; reduce distress, increase confidence, coping and social resources.

The team offers care co-ordination and intervention to individuals for a maximum of three years from point of referral.
