If you are invited for a lung cancer screening scan, these will take place at Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda Hospital in Llwynypia. The scans will be done in a mobile CT scanner unit which is based in a car park at the side of the hospital – not inside the main hospital building or radiology department.

Parking - Free parking is available in the Hospital.
Toilets - The nearest toilet can be found in the main Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda Hospital building. The toilets can be located to right as you enter the main entrance of the Hospital.
Yes, there is wheelchair access on the vehicle for those who require it.

At your Lung Screening Scan appointment, we can arrange for a British Sign Language interpreter to attend if you require this service.
If you have any additional needs then let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. We can offer longer time slots and send out Easy Read information.
If you need someone to accompany you to your Lung Screening Scan, please limit it to one person. As space is limited in the mobile unit any person accompanying you may be asked to wait outside until your appointment is complete.
