General information about the Health Board can be found in the About Us pages. Cwm Taf Health Board was formed on 1st October 2009 as part of the NHS Wales restructuring. On 1 April 2019, Cwm Taf University Health Board changed its name to Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (UHB) as it took responsibility for providing healthcare services for the people in the Bridgend County Borough area. Further information about the structure can be found at the Health in Wales website.
You can find out more about the organisation on the About Us page.
There are a number of sub-committees that report to and are accountable to the Board. These committees provide the governance and accountability structure within the organisation.
The UHB has a long history of working in partnership and recognises the value it adds to the shared agenda of the prevention of ill health and provision of health, social care and wellbeing services. In order to tackle the roots of poor health within our communities and achieve the greatest impact, the UHB must work with its partners to deliver joined-up services. Our partnership working must be clearly focussed on shared priorities that deliver real outcomes to ensure we maximise the contribution that can be made by all sectors, as well as by citizens, patients and carers.
The UHB continues to build on these arrangements, working jointly with local authorities, third sector organisations, staff, independent practitioners, and other key partners.
Recent examples of partnership working are available in our Annual Reports.
The names, titles and short biographies (where available) of our senior staff and board members are available on the Board Members page.
