The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requires every public authority to adopt and maintain a publication scheme which has been approved by the Information Commissioner. The scheme requires public authorities to proactively make information available to the public, and publish information in accordance with the scheme.
The scheme includes:
Our publication scheme is a Guide to Information routinely published by Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. We recognise that the public have a right to know how our services are organised and delivered. They have the right to know which services are provided, the expected standards of those services, the targets that are being set and the results achieved; together with how much we spend in order to provide the services we offer.
The Health Board, like all other public bodies, has undertaken to adopt and maintain a publication scheme so that information about the Health Board can be made available to the public. The Health Board has chosen to use a model publication scheme which has been developed and approved by the Information Commissioner. It follows a standard format which is also used by other health bodies in Wales. The model publication scheme specifies seven classes of information and defines what should be contained within each of the classes.
The seven classes are as follows:
In addition to providing information, each class will, where applicable, indicate how the information will be made available, whether a charge will be made for providing it and whether any information is exempt.
If you are unable to find the information you require within the publication scheme you may wish to submit a Freedom of Information request to us.
