Bridgend Health and Wellbeing Centre

New Bridgend Health and Wellbeing Centre

The development of the new, long awaited, Health and Wellbeing Centre for Bridgend, is now on-site and due for completion in spring 2025.

The new centre is a multi-disciplinary centre which will provide new, purpose built space for a range of healthcare services for the patients of Bridgend and surrounding areas.

Being built on the site of the old Magistrates Court on Sunnyside Road, and close to the Halo – Bridgend Recreation Centre, the new Healthcare Centre will be a standalone facility and will become a Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board owned and managed healthcare facility.

The new building will also provide a single site for the delivery of a range of services to patients across the whole of the Bridgend and wider area. These will include:

  • Speech and Language Services, Audiology, Sexual Health Clinics, District Nurse Led Treatment Rooms, Paediatric Services.

  • Specialist Dental Team, this is a referral only service, which is a dedicated service to provide dental care to vulnerable patient groups who may otherwise find accessing treatment difficult. This includes those with learning impairments, mental health conditions and those with complex medical conditions.

  • Integrated Community Services delivered by the Community Network Team. This is a multi-agency team of staff who support adults aged 18 years and over, who may have a physical disability; chronic ill health or challenges with frailty.
