Who is eligible?

Following advice from the expert Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), the vaccine will be offered to:

  • adults aged 75 and over;
  • residents in care homes for older adults; and
  • individuals aged 5 years and over who are immunosuppressed.

I’ve not had any Vaccinations yet, am I still eligible?

You are eligible for the spring booster, if

  • You fall in any of the eligibility groups above
  • You have completed a primary course of vaccines, that means:
    • 1st, 2nd or 3rd (If immunosuppressed) and
    • 91 days (13 weeks) since your previous vaccine.

Can I still get my primary course or booster?

Yes! Time is running out though and you only have until June 30th for doses 1&2 (Primary) and the Univeral booster offer end on March 31st. For the full details, click here.

People who develop a new health condition that places them in a clinical risk group, who had not yet had their primary course and/or booster dose, will still be able to be vaccinated on the advice of a clinician.

When will I be contacted?

If you are eligible for your spring booster, you will receive an invite from mid- March. You will be invited to attend one of our six CVCs for your vaccination.

Where can I find updated information?

Our Cwm Taf Morgannwg social media channels will be posting regular updates, alongside our CTM website – which will have the latest news.

Are there plans for any more boosters?

As well as the spring booster programme, there will be an autumn booster programme later this year, following further advice from the JCVI.
