Sometimes women like to have their baby lifted up for them to see what gender the baby is and some ask for their partner or birth partner to be the one to tell you the baby’s gender.

You may chose to have baby dried before being handed to you, but most people chose for baby to be lifted directly up onto their abdomen to start skin to skin contact straight away.
