It takes a village to keep us protected from flu this winter

Cwm Taf Morgannwg and Community - Flu Vaccination Campaign Toolkit: It Takes a Village

Flu season has started earlier this year, and we are already seeing more illness in our communities and increased pressures across our health and care system. Vaccination remains one of the most effective ways to reduce the impact of flu on individuals, families, and services. This makes our collective efforts more important than ever.

For the first time ever, Cwm Taf  Morgannwg University Health Board has worked with several community organisations, local people of  Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf, and wider partners, to develop a vaccination toolkit that promote clear, consistent messaging that encourages uptake of flu vaccination across all our communities.

Please look out for familiar faces and locations on local social media pages during the winter and help by resharing the messages to reinforce the real difference vaccination can make to reducing flu-related illness and protecting those most at risk.

This toolkit has been delivered by several partners of the health board’s Community Leaders’ Network. We want to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to its development.

If you would like a copy of the toolkit for use within your local organisation or community email us at ctm.enquiries.HP@wales.nhs.uk.
