Diet plays a key role in oral health, but having a consistent and effective oral health routine is equally important.
National Smile Month is the perfect opportunity to remind yourself of the basics of a good daily oral health routine:
Twice daily brushing with fluoride toothpaste
Cleaning between your teeth with interdental brushes or floss
Visiting your dentist regularly
A balanced diet with healthy snacks and a reduction in sugar intake contribute to strong healthy teeth and helps towards preventing tooth decay.
Remember to stay hydrated with plain water throughout the day.
