Hope After Loss Bereavement Event

CTM UHB’s Bereavement Team is partnering with 2Wish Cymru to host a free Hope After Loss bereavement event on Monday 1 December (9am - 4pm) at Orbit Business Centre, Merthyr Tydfil CF48 1DL.

The event, which is supported by the Cwm Taf Morgannwg NHS Charity, is open to anyone living in the CTM UHB region as well as staff and 3rd sector organisations, and will include presentations and talks by:

  • CTM UHB’s Chaplaincy Team
  • CTM UHB’s Patience Experience Team
  • CTM UHB’s Bereavement Midwives
  • CTM UHB’s Health Board Charity
  • CTM UHB’s Bereavement Clinical Lead
  • Eye to Eye Trauma Support
  • 2Wish Cymru

The event will also include pop-up trade stalls of organisations offering bereavement support, including:  

  • CTM UHB’s Advanced Care Planning Team
  • CTM UHB’s Chaplaincy Team
  • CTM UHB Child Psychology Team
  • CTM UHB’s Bereavement Midwives
  • CTM UHB’s Patient Advisory Liaison Service (PALS)

Donna Morgan (Bereavement Clinical Lead, CTM UHB) said: “Bereavement affects everyone, and losing a loved one often leaves people feeling isolated. We hope that by hosting this event during Grief Awareness Week, we will be able to highlight the bereavement support, care and services being offered by CTM UHB, and our partners. We want to ensure that everyone affected by bereavement across CTM UHB is able to access the support they need.”
