This week (22nd - 28th June) CTM UHB is marking Armed Forces Week 2025 and Armed Forces Day on Sunday 28th June.

CTMUHB researchers are currently running a research study which aims to improve lung cancer diagnostics to guide therapy and shorten the time before a patient receives their treatment.

Researchers at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTM UHB) have launched a research study that will investigate whether bowel cancer and polyps (abnormal cells that grow inside the body which can turn into cancer) can be identified by a simple blood test.

This week is Cervical Screening Awareness Week.  

Cervical cancer is the most common cancer in women under the age of 35. Cervical screening can save lives by preventing cervical cancer from developing, or by picking it up at an early stage. 

The most common type of diabetes in children and young people is Type 1 diabetes. But children and young people can also develop Type 2 diabetes or another type of diabetes.
