CTMUHB will be hosting its first ever Value-Based Healthcare Showcase Event on Wednesday 17 September. The event will also be streamed live to colleagues across the CTM region, Wales and beyond.
Value-Based Health Care (VBHC) focuses on delivering the best outcomes by ensuring care is effective, personalised, and sustainable, and aims to improve patient experiences and results by measuring what truly matters. VBHC helps CTMUHB to better understand the impact of treatments, ensuring that resources are used where they make the most difference. By listening to patients, using data-driven insights and applying a Value-Based Healthcare approach, CTMUHB can continuously improve care and support better health outcomes.
The Value-Based Healthcare event is aimed at healthcare clinical teams and professionals, policy makers, academics, patient representatives, and anyone with an interest in improving health outcomes and delivering care that truly makes a difference. It will include keynote speeches by Jeremy Miles, Cabinet Secretary for Health & Social Care, Paul Mears (CEO), and presentations from a wide range of our clinical teams and their partners leading on programmes with new delivery care models.
Dee Lowry, Assistant Director of Value and Efficiency said: “Value-Based Healthcare is all about focusing on the health outcomes that matter most to the patient, and enabling efficient and effective use of our resources available. On the day you will get the chance to hear from service users, clinical teams, and our partners as they share the real-world impact and patient experiences from a wide variety of Value-Based Healthcare projects happening across services at CTM. We’re incredibly proud of the work being done and the difference it’s making, and the team and I are looking forward to celebrating and showcasing their work in September.”
