Earlier this month, CTM UHB staff and pharmacy contractors scooped five wins at Welsh Pharmacy Awards 2025, which was held on Wednesday 15 October at The Vale Hotel.
In total, CTM UHB Pharmacy teams and CTM Community Pharmacy colleagues were shortlisted for nine awards:
- Hospital Pharmacy Team of the Year Award - Prince Charles Hospital Pharmacy team
- Primary Care Team of the Year Award - Primary Care Medicines Management Team, for their programme of delivery of undergraduate placements in collaboration with GMS colleagues
- Pharmacy Technician of the Year Award – both Hannah Lee (Chief Pharmacy Technician, Prince Charles Hospital) and Kellyann Richards (Primary Care Senior Technician) were shortlisted for this award
- Leading Digital Change in Pharmacy - Pharmacy EPMA team
- Clinical Excellence in Community Pharmacy Award - Anna Matthews, Nanty Pharmacy
- Independent Community Pharmacy of the Year Award - Anna Matthews, Nanty Pharmacy
- Improvements in Service Delivery Award - Gareth Hughes, Tynewydd Pharmacy
CTM UHB won:
- Hospital Pharmacy Team of the Year Award
- Primary Care Team of the Year Award
And our CTM Community Pharmacy Contractors won the following:
- Clinical Excellence in Community Pharmacy Award – Anna Matthews, Nanty Pharmacy
- Independent Community Pharmacy of the Year Award - Anna Matthews, Nanty Pharmacy and Nanty Pharmacy team
- Improvements in Service Delivery Award - Gareth Hughes, Tynewydd Pharmacy
Hannah Wilton, Director of Pharmacy and Medicines Management at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, said: “We were absolutely delighted to have had so many teams and colleagues nominated for these prestigious awards.
