Children's ward welcomes local writers

The children’s ward at the Princess of Wales Hospital recently had a visit from two local friends who have co written a book and donated copies to the ward. David Whistance is a local postman and author, and Michael "Moose" Thomas is former drummer of local metal band Bullet for My Valentine and now Kill The Lights.

The Viking Who Couldn't Grow a Beard is the first collaboration written by the pair who have gone on to write another three books. 

Thank you, both, for the generous donation of books for the children’s ward. 

A staff member on the ward said: “We all love the books! This was a fabulous surprise for the children to receive the gift of the books whilst being unwell on the ward. It was a lovely distraction. We wish them luck and look forward to the next books in the series which they also plan to donate to the ward.”
