The 2025 Seren Annual Awards held yesterday (Thursday 25 September) at the Village Hotel, Cardiff brought together staff from across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board to celebrate the incredible achievements, dedication, and compassion shown by its people every day.

CTM are thrilled to announce this year’s winners and runners-up.

Winner: Cheri Lewis, Senior Midwifery Information Officer
Runner-Up: Amber Griffiths - Speech & Language Therapist

Inclusion & Respect Award
For those who exemplify CTM’s values of inclusion and respect.

Winner: Local Public Health Team
Runners-Up: Future Care Planning Team and the Professional Nurse Advocacy & Practice Development Team

People’s Choice Award
Voted for by the CTM Community.

Winner: Donna Morgan, Bereavement Clinical Lead

Research, Innovation & Improvement Award
For those who embody listening, learning, and improving.

Winner: Thomas Sauter, Clinical Lead Pharmacist

Winner: Consultant Dr James Bolt
Runners up: Kate Helyar, Paediatrics Staff Nurse and Louise Quealey, Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Winner: Speech & Language Therapy, Bridgend
Runners-Up: Bridgend Integrated Community Services - Pharmacy

For those who consistently go above and beyond.

Winner: Lucy Peachey, Nurse at HM Prison Parc
Runner-Up: Megan Jenks, Pharmacist at HM Prison Parc

Volunteer of the Year
Honouring those who give their time generously.

Winner: Michele Hanson
Runner-Up: Good to Grow Volunteer Team - Occupational Therapy, Palliative Care

A heartfelt thank you to CTM’s generous raffle prize donors and sponsors for helping make the evening so special, including:

The raffle raised nearly £1200, with all proceeds going to the Cwm Taf Morgannwg NHS Charity. The prizes won by CTM colleagues on the night included:

  • Halo Leisure - 1-Month Active Halo Leisure Pass
  • Asda Tonypandy - Gift Hamper
  • Tesco Aberdare - Gift Hamper
  • Village Hotel - Overnight stay for two, invite to a Party Night Evening Meal for four people, and a 7-day gym pass for two

Tenovus Cancer Care Sing with Us Cardiff North Choir and two members of CTM’s Race Equality Network made the event extra special with some incredible singing and dance performances.
