A & Es under extreme pressure

All of our emergency departments, in Royal Glamorgan, Prince Charles and Princess of Wales hospitals, are facing extreme pressure.

Please only attend if absolutely necessary. Emergency departments are for life threatening conditions or a serious illness or injury. We are dealing with a large influx of seriously unwell and injured patients and they need to be cared for as a priority. You will experience a very long delay if it’s not an emergency.

If you have a family member or loved one with us who has been seen by the medical team and been deemed fit for discharge, please can you collect them as soon as possible. This will help us provide beds and care for the sickest of patients. Thank you for your support.
