Adults and children aged over one with the following conditions can visit our Minor Injury Unit (MIU) for assessment and treatment:
- Injuries to the limbs and minor injuries to the head, face, neck, back and chest
- Human, animal or insect bites
- Minor burns or scalds
- Wounds or grazes
- Foreign bodies in ears, noses and soft tissues
Minor Injuries Unit Opening Times
- Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda: 8.30am to 4.30pm
- Ysbyty Cwm Cynon: 9am to 5pm
Both Minor Injuries Units are closed on weekends and bank holidays.
You can walk in at any time during opening hours.
Weekends and Bank Holidays
There is a Minor Injury Unit based at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital Emergency Department which is open on weekends and bank holidays. The opening times are 8am to 8pm.
