I have received a letter asking me about treatment and whether I want to stay on the waiting list, what does this mean and what should I do?

We are writing to some patients who have been waiting more than 52 weeks for their treatment in certain specialities. We know that your circumstances may have changed while you have been waiting so we are contacting patients on our outpatient appointment list to ask about their preferences and make sure they still need to be seen.

If you have received a letter, it is really important that you reply so your current needs can be assessed. You can use the prepaid envelope to send your form back to us.  If we do not hear from you, we will assume that you no longer wish to have your appointment, so it’s really important to fill out the questionnaire and send it back so our teams can review it.

If you have any questions about the letter or the questionnaire, you can contact our re-starting services support line via the below.
