COVID Booster (Autumn 2023)

***UPDATE***

Have you missed your COVID vaccination?

If you are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination, and have not yet received it, our Community Vaccination Centres (CVCs) will be open to drop ins from Monday 4 December between 9.10 and 4.45 each day - Monday to Friday.

Our CVCs are located at Dewi Sant Health Park, Ysbyty George Thomas, Keir Hardie, Glanrhyd, YCC and Maesteg Hospital. Please note that Maesteg Hospital will be open to walk ins on a Monday only.

If you have received an appointment letter for a COVID vaccination, and you are unable to attend, please rebook either by using the rebooking form: COVID-19 Vaccine Information - Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (nhs.wales)

Or by calling our rebooking line on 01685 726464.

Walk ins are already up and running at our CVCs for all health and social care workers, who will also be offered the flu vaccination.

If you are not a health or social care worker and are eligible for the flu vaccine you can make an appointment at your GP or local pharmacy.

Am I eligible for the COVID vaccine this year?

In line with advice from the Joint Committee for Vaccination and Immunisation, a booster (single) dose of COVID vaccine will be offered to:

  • residents in a care home for older adults
  • all adults aged 65 years and over
  • people aged 6 months to 64 years who are classed as clinically vulnerable
  • frontline health and social care staff
  • people (aged 12-64 years old) who live with someone who has a weakened immune system
  • people aged 16 to 64 years who are carers

We appreciate, and totally understand, that everyone has really busy lives, but on a vaccination programme of this scale, it would really help us if you can prioritise and attend the appointment sent to you.
