- The flu vaccine significantly reduces your risk of getting ill. Even if you still get the flu after having the vaccine, it is likely to be much milder and shorter-lived.
- The flu vaccine can’t give you the flu. It helps protect you and can make the illness less severe if you do catch it, even if you are otherwise healthy!
- Flu can cause days, or even weeks of illness and absence from work. It also puts the vulnerable at risk of serious illness or complications.
