Amanda Farrow is the Assistant Medical Director for Medical Education for CTM. She started this post in April 2024. She is also the Clinical Lead for the Emergency Department (ED) in the Royal Glamorgan Hospital. She has had many roles in postgraduate training and education. She was the trainee rep for many years during her Emergency Medicine (EM) training in Wales. She was the Training Programme Director and subsequently the Head of School for EM in Wales for many years. She was the Foundation Programme Director and then the Faculty Lead in the Princess of Wales prior to the pandemic. She was a member of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine Curriculum sub-committee and involved in the development of the new EM curriculum. She has also been involved in the development of the official level 7 qualification for the All-Wales Agored Minor Injury course for Emergency Nurse Practitioners and has set up a HEIW steering group for EM Advanced Clinical Practitioners. She is passionate about developing a high quality, highly skilled multi-disciplinary workforce and keen to support all trainers involved in delivering this. Her vision is to strive for high quality training in all areas of CTM for both undergraduates and postgraduates.
