A temporary closure will be in place, affecting several accessible parking bays, in the main car park at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital from the 6 - 8 January to ensure the facilitation of essential tree removal works near Building Blocks Nursery.
The footbridge near the nursery will also be closed during this time and a re-direction route will be in place for patients, staff and visitors via the footbridge opposite the hospital’s main entrance.
There will be barriers in place to support the closure and car park attendants will be available to help patients and staff and assist flow through the car park.
A large number of accessible parking bays can be accessed in the car park adjacent to the helipad, and in the site’s other car parks. We have ensured that only the necessary number of spaces have been affected during this period.
The safety of visitors to site and those who work and attend Building Blocks Nursery is the highest priority and this work is essential to remove any risk posed by the tree’s size.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and cooperation.
