This week CTM is celebrating Patient Experience Week 2025, a week-long celebration of all the ways in which NHS staff in CTM and across Wales go above and beyond to provide the best care possible for our patients and service users.
We’re using this week to highlight some of the amazing work happening at Ysbyty Cwm Cynon. Over the last few months, staff at the hospital have been going above and beyond to support patients and improve their patient experience by introducing a hairdressing service and a music therapy pilot programme. You can read the full details here:

During the week, CTM’s Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) teams will be hosting a Patient feedback wall at Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda (main entrance foyer) on Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 April, and a Patient feedback cube at Ysbyty Cwm Cynon (main entrance foyer) on Thursday 1 May and Friday 2 May. This is a chance for you to drop by and share your thoughts and feedback with the teams.
We will also be sharing comments and feedback that we have received from patients living across the CTM region in Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil. Follow our social media channels to find out more.
Jenny Oliver, Head of People’s Experience said: “Patient Experience Week is a week to celebrate the commitment and dedication of our staff to putting patients and service users at the heart of everything we do. This week, we’ll be sharing comments and feedback that we have received during the year as a reminder of our commitment to listening, learning and improving, from what you tell us.”
We welcome your feedback to understand how staff have supported you when accessing healthcare services provided by CTM.
