Lung Cancer Awareness Month: A reflection on the success of the Lung Health Check Pilot

As Lung Cancer Awareness Month continues, we’re looking back at the success of our Lung Health Check Pilot – an initiative that helped detect lung cancer early and has now been recognised nationally for excellence in patient care.

What’s next 

The pilot has now concluded, and the learning from this has played a crucial role in supporting the decision to introduce a lung cancer screening programme in Wales. Read the Welsh Government Written Statement.

The Lung Health Check Operational Pilot for Wales has been supported by a financial grant from Roche Products Ltd, grant from MSD (Merck Sharp & Dohme (UK) Limited), Sponsorship Agreement from Novartis Pharmaceuticals UK Limited, Partnership Agreement with Moondance Cancer Initiative and funding from Tenovus Cancer Care following a prior donation from Bristol Myers Squibb Pharmaceuticals Limited.
