What to do if you need to access urgent medication at the Eisteddfod…
Before you arrive, please remember to bring all your medications with you – this includes any inhalers, EpiPens, contraceptive pills and anti-histamines.
If you have a condition such as diabetes or epilepsy that means you might become suddenly unwell, then please wear a MedicAlert bracelet or pendant and make sure anyone travelling with you knows about your condition.
You might also have a handy medical app on your phone – please make sure this is up to date and enabled.
What to do if you’ve forgotten or lost your medication:
- This NHS 111 self-help guide for prescription medication will help you to decide who to contact for more medication.
- If you feel you need to speak with someone, an Eisteddfod steward will be able to direct you to a medical professional for advice.
- Our local community pharmacies may be able to supply you with replacement medication, if you have either lost your medication, or forgotten to bring it with you…
- You will be able to walk into any of the local pharmacies during normal opening hours.
- You will need to be prepared to wait to speak to a pharmacist at busy times.
- You may need to provide proof of ID and be able to confirm details of your medication before a supply can be made.
- Pharmacies may not be able to supply all medicines.
