What to do if you need to access urgent dental care at the Eisteddfod…. this section provides you with everything you need to know.

Accessing Urgent Dental Care

If you need to access urgent dental care for any of the following:

  • Pain
  • Swelling
  • Trauma
  • Excessive bleeding

Please use the following telephone number, if you meet the urgent criteria to be seen by a dentist, they will book you an appointment or provide advice:

You can call this number 24/7 and a member of the dental team will call you back between the hours of:

Monday to Friday, 09:30 – 16:30 or 18:30 – 21:00

Saturday & Sunday, 09:00 – 17:00

Payment:

NHS Charges will apply for any urgent treatment provided = £30 [unless you are exempt from paying NHS dental charges, you may need to provide evidence of this]

Looking After Your Oral Health while at the Eisteddfod:

Good oral health is important for health and wellbeing. A regular brushing/cleaning routine can help to reduce the risk of oral health problems, pain, discomfort and tooth loss.

In order to maintain good oral health, the following advice is recommended:

  • Brush natural teeth twice daily with fluoride toothpaste
  • Floss between natural teeth everyday
  • Clean dentures daily with mouth care products
  • Have regular dental check ups
  • Have a healthy balanced diet, limiting alcohol and sugar intake
