Dilys has worked in local government for over 40 years and, prior to her retirement, was active in her trade union Unison for more than 30 years.    

During the latter part of her career, she was an Equality and Diversity Manager and has served on the Wales Committee of the Equality and Human Rights Commission for five years. Dilys is currently Chair of the Rhondda Cynon Taff Citizen’s Advice Trustee Board, and she is immensely proud of the work the volunteers and staff do for the benefit of the most disadvantaged in local communities. She is also a school governor and active in local community groups, including a litter-picking group. 

Dilys became an Independent Member in 2018, and is a member of the following Board Committees:

• People and Culture (Chair) 

• Charitable Funds 

• Remuneration and Terms of Service Committee
