Help Shape the Future of Mental Health and Wellbeing in CTM
We invite you to join an important conversation that will help shape the future of mental health and wellbeing provision across Cwm Taf Morgannwg.
Good mental health and wellbeing are essential for helping people live healthier and happier lives, building stronger relationships and for creating thriving communities.
You may be aware that the Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2025 to 2035 was published earlier this year. It outlines an ambitious vision for Wales where people will “live in a country which promotes, supports and empowers them to improve their mental health and wellbeing, and will be free from stigma and discrimination.” It has a strong focus on prevention, reducing inequalities and providing earlier support for people.
As such, as we move forwards with implementation of the strategy nationally and locally, the voice of the third sector in CTM has never been more vital. Your insight, experience, and community connections are key to ensuring this strategy meets the real needs of our communities - in a way that is inclusive, practical, and rooted in partnership.
To help us plan for an effective roll out of this strategy across CTM, we’re bringing together third sector partners from across the region, alongside health board, Public Health Wales and NHS Performance and Improvement colleagues, to explore:
During this session we will also spotlight a few examples of good mental health and wellbeing provision across CTM, and we will showcase approaches being used to engage and work with people with lived experiences.
Your contribution to shaping this strategy for CTM, through your knowledge of our local communities, together with your trusted voice, will help us ensure that no one is left behind.
We hope you can join the meeting or send a representative if unavailable.
Additional Leaders Network Session: Shaping the Future of CTM NHS Charity
In addition to the above session, there will also be an opportunity for the network to contribute to the development of a new brand identity for Cwm Taf Morgannwg NHS Charity.
There will be an additional session from 11.45am - 12.30pm, where community leaders will be invited to view and provide feedback on early design concepts for the CTM NHS Charity’s new brand developed in partnership with creative design agency jamjar. These creative concepts will build on insights from the Charity’s brand discovery workshops with community leaders and network members, NHS staff and patients held during September and October. The new branding is intended to help ensure the Charity’s future identity feels relevant and representative of the communities we serve.
If you are unable to attend this additional session, the concepts will also be on display throughout the morning, and you will be able to leave your reflections and feedback at a time that suits you.
Your perspective will be invaluable in helping shape a brand that belongs to all of us, and we hope you can take part in this important conversation alongside the main mental health and wellbeing agenda.
