School Nursing Nasal Flu Vaccination Programme
The following information relates to the 2025-26 flu season.

Flu can be serious for children, but the flu vaccine helps reduce the risk. Giving consent for your child to have the flu vaccine helps protect your child this winter.
School age children (aged 4 to 15) from reception to year 11 will be offered a nasal spray flu vaccination from 15 September 2025.
December catch-up programme
A catch-up programme will run during the first three weekends of December. Letters will be sent to parents and guardians of children who missed their vaccination in school or who do not attend education, inviting them to attend one of our six Community Vaccination Centres for a flu vaccination.
