Two of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board’s lead nurses from the Infection, Prevention and Control team (IP&C), Bethan Cradle and Sarah Morgan were today awarded the High Sheriff Award by The High Sheriff, Maria Thomas.
It’s recognition of the fantastic work Bethan and Sarah have been responsible for during the Covid-19 pandemic. Both worked tirelessly during unprecedented times providing advice, guidance and support to front line teams enabling them to deliver the best care possible to our patients in extremely challenging circumstances.
Like many teams across the Health Board, IP&C needed to work differently and provide support and guidance over and above their usual working practice, as the pandemic progressed. They always remained visible and accessible both in and out of hours.
Bethan and Sarah have consistently responded proactively to the ever changing international and national Covid-19 regulations, translating it at speed into easy to understand guidance. This meant that operational and clinical teams could implement it at speed.
The CTMUHB IP&C team have been one of the teams in the pandemic who were “front and centre” in enabling our health board teams to confidently deliver care with a consistency of approach.
Huge Congratulations to Bethan and Sarah!
