Eisteddfod

We

We are excited to be part of this year’s national Eisteddfod in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

You’ll find the Cwm Taf Morgannwg stand in Ynysangharad War Memorial Park, Pontypridd. We will be celebrating Welsh language in our region, an area we are hugely proud of for its heritage, landscape and beauty, and for the people living and working here.

During the week, you’ll be able to put your questions to many specialists and teams from across our health board.  Our programme offers something for all the family.

For information about staying well during your visit to the Maes, or as a local to our region, we can help. Our ‘one stop shop’ will help explain how to access medical help if you need it.

Whilst we will be there to support you, our stand is not being staffed by medical personnel and we will not be offering medical treatment from our stand. This will be offered by the Eisteddfod’s medical and welfare team. However, our health board team will be on hand all week to give hints and tips on how to best look after your health.

We hope to see you there!

(Follow our event countdown on social media for the latest updates).

Access to Healthcare Services and Support

If you need medical assistance, speak to a health steward on the site who will be able to help.
Here's some additional guidance and health information to support your visit.

Using our language when accessing healthcare at Cwm Taf Morgannwg

Cymraeg belongs to us all in Wales and we all have rights to use the Welsh we have with Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. This is because using Welsh is more than a nice-to-have; it makes a huge difference to our experience of using health services.

We’ve created this short leaflet setting out what your rights are to use Welsh with Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. From using your Welsh where you see the orange ‘Cymraeg’ logo and a simple bilingual greeting on arrival to signs, notices and leaflets, our health board is committed to providing you with healthcare in Welsh. So use your Welsh with us; it’s right to do so and we understand how important it is to the communities we care for.
