Ysbyty'r Seren

Ysbyty’r Seren is Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB’s field hospital which has been developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ysbyty’r Seren provides care for our patients away from the district general hospital setting. This will help create capacity in our acute settings for our patients needing more specialist care.

It will be staffed by experienced CTM staff who have been redeployed from other roles and sites in the organisation. During their stay at the hospital, patients will be able to meet with their clinicians, while receiving dedicated nursing care. Wellbeing and therapies support will also be available.

As we are all working in unprecedented times, it is impossible to confirm how long Ysbyty’r Seren will be in use. It should provide reassurance that we have, very quickly, been able to ensure that the site is ready to receive patients and provide a safe environment for nursing care.

Directions

The Hospital is located on Bridgend Industrial Estate, Bennett Street, Bridgend, CF31 3SH.
Leave the M4 at Junction 35 signposted for Bridgend, Pencoed, A473.
Take the first exit off the roundabout onto the A473. Stay on the A473.
At the next roundabout take the third exit into the Industrial Estate.
Follow the road around, bearing left.
You will come to an awkward junction – go right and then take the first left.
The Hospital is the first huge building on the left.
