WALK-IN VACCINES

You can still walk in for your vaccine this month (January) at all of our five community vaccination centres (locations and addresses below).

Walk-ins are available Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 6pm

This weekend (Saturday Jan 22 and Sunday Jan 23) all of our centres are open for walk-ins, 9:30am - 4.30pm.

Please check if walk-ins are available for you below.  Any not listed are by appointment only.

Please check your eligibility before walking-in to a centre – timings between doses and the wait after a COVID-19 infection (more details below).

To protect our patients and staff we are asking you to take a lateral flow test before you come to any of our sites.  Thank you.

Walk-ins are to cover:

First doses:

  • Anyone aged 12 years and over

Second Doses:

  • 18 years and over , 8 weeks after their 1st dose, but also need to be 28 days after a COVID 19 infection.
  • 12-17 years old who are in a clinical risk group, severely immunosuppressed or living with someone who is immunosuppressed, 8 weeks after their 1st dose, but also need to be 28 days after a COVID 19 infection.
  • 12-17 years old without any risk factors, 12 weeks after their 1st dose, but also need to be 12 weeks after a COVID 19 infection

Third Doses

  • 12 years and over who are severely immunosuppressed, will receive a third primary dose, 8 weeks after their 1st dose, but also need to be 28 days after a COVID 19 infection

Boosters

  • 18 years and over , 13 weeks after their 2nd dose, but also need to be 28 days after a COVID 19 infection.
  • 12-17 years old who are in a clinical risk group, severely immunosuppressed or living with someone who is immunosuppressed, 13 weeks after their 2nd dose, but also need to be 28 days after a COVID 19 infection.
  • 16-17 years old without any risk factors, 13 weeks after their 2nd dose, but also need to be 12 weeks after a COVID 19 infection

We are not accepting walk-ins for anyone under 12 years of age.

Drive-thru vaccines
We also have a drive thru clinic at the car park in Ysbyty'r Seren, Bridgend from Monday January 24 to Thursday January 27. Check out more details here.

 

 

Remember:
  • 2nd doses are 8 weeks after your 1st dose (for anybody 18 and over)
  • 3rd Doses are 8 weeks after your 2nd dose
  • Boosters are 13 weeks after your 2nd dose

If you have tested positive for COVID-19:

  • For adults 18+ you need to be 28 days post a COVID 19 infection
  • For under 18’s you must be 12 weeks post a COVID 19 infection

If someone in your household has tested positive for COVID-19 you must:

  • Follow the current Welsh Government guidelines around being a household contact of someone with a positive COVID-19 result and take a lateral flow test before coming to one of our CVCs.  You may be asked to show proof of the test, so we would encourage you to upload the negative result onto the NHS portal.
